CREATIVE SESSIONS

I recently heard a photographer talk about the importance of creative sessions.

The idea is to have a general theme for the session and go in with the mindset to just create. To allow yourself as a photographer to let go of rules of composition and just capture photos that speak to your soul....that tell a story and show connection. So I decided to give it a try. I had decided I wanted to do a sink bath session with a baby. Amy was kind enough to invite me over and let me practice with her and her baby, and let me tell you.....it was so refreshing.

This session definitely goes down as one of my all time favorite sessions. I had the honor of photographing sweet Lucy when she was 6 months old and getting to see how her personality has grown and blossomed was so special. Even though it had only been 4 months since her other session, she had grown and changed so much.

A little mini session like this can be such a fun and simple way to capture your little one as they grow. Especially in those early years - they grow and change so much it is unbelievable. If you have a creative session you would love to have done, let me know and we will make it happen!
